Athletic Bilbao has announced the official launch of the Athletic Club Academy, a new football and integral training structure that takes over previous projects such as the Eskola. This academy is born with the absolute support of the red and white entity and is presented as a direct extension of its Lezama factory, incorporating as a main novelty the creation and implementation of its own training and official competition teams. The initiative pursues a double strategic purpose for the Bilbao entity. On the one hand, it offers young footballers, both in male and female categories, the opportunity to develop their sports skills in a center that has the methodology, first-level facilities and professional accompaniment necessary to express their maximum potential. On the other hand, the academy becomes a tool to ensure the economic sustainability of the club and strengthen its network of affiliated teams. With this management model, the new teams of the Athletic Academy will compete under the same criteria, principles and values that define the club's philosophy. From the Ibaigane entity, they highlight that this structure allows for the diversification of specialized sports services at the highest level and the generation of new resources, achieving a financial balance that helps to project the future of the institution without renouncing its identity.
