Athletic Bilbao has added Óscar De Marcos to its coaching staff. The former player joins Edin Terzic's team after a conversation with the German coach.

What happened?

The German coach explained that everything was born out of conversations with players or club members: “Everyone mentioned Óscar”.

Why is it important for Athletic Bilbao?

Terzic revealed that De Marcos will “help him establish two bridges” in his new stage: “The first is between the locker room and the coach's office and the second with Lezama and San Mamés because he knows it well”.

What comes next?

De Marcos has moved to the other side of the barrier, from being in the locker room as just another player to being part of Edin Terzic's coaching staff in just over a year in this stage at the helm of Athletic Bilbao. Former full-back Óscar De Marcos will help Terzic establish a connection between the team and the coach's office, as well as with the Lezama academy and the San Mamés stadium.
