Athletic Bilbao unveils new technical staff structure at Lezama

Athletic Bilbao has officially announced changes to its male technical staff at Lezama, from the reserve team down to the under-12s. The promotion of Bittor Llopis to Bilbao Athletic, following Jokin Aranbarri's non-renewal, has triggered a restructuring of the youth teams.

What changes have been made?

Adrián Esteve, coming from the Juvenil de División de Honor, will take charge of Basconia. He will be joined by Gorka Azkorra as assistant coach, Miguel Escalona as goalkeeping coach, and Ibon Urkiza as fitness trainer.

For the first youth team, Iñigo López will be the head coach, with Igor Núñez as assistant, Sergio Fernández as goalkeeping coach, and Aitor Baraia as fitness trainer.

Who are the new managers?

Unai Andrinua will oversee the Juvenil Nacional, while Ander Lafuente will coach the Cadete Liga Vasca. Jon Díaz de Cerio will lead the Cadete de División de Honor, and Andoni Galiano will manage the Infantil A.

Lander Urquijo will take charge of the Infantil B, and Lander Torrealdai, Galder Izaola, and Rubén Txaparro will be in charge of the alevines A and B.

What does this mean for the club's future?

These changes reflect Athletic Bilbao's commitment to continuity and internal growth, promoting coaches who are already part of the academy. The renewed structure aims to consolidate the club's philosophy across all categories.
