Liverpool eye Nico Williams but target Bradley Barcola instead

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has expressed his concerns about this potential signing. On social media, Carragher pointed out that Barcola plays on the opposite flank to what the team needs. "No, he plays on the opposite flank. Currently, Liverpool has three players who can play on the left (Rio/Gakpo/Wirtz) and none on the right," he wrote.

Carragher also mentioned that Liverpool desperately needs a right winger. "Rio has always played on the left, so that’s obviously his best position. Gakpo should move, but who knows. I’m interested to see where Wirtz plays, if he’s 10, Dom plays as a midfielder. I’m not sure about that. Need a right winger desperately!"

Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has confirmed that the team needs a winger. "There are obvious situations that we know where we need to sign players. A winger, for example, we definitely need a winger," said Iraola. The club has already signed Victor Munoz from Osasuna, who scored seven goals last season.
