The new project of Athletic Club under the baton of Edin Terzić already has a roadmap for its first steps as a coach. The red-and-white team has decided to bet on proximity, starting the preparation calendar with an exciting series of friendly matches that will cover different corners of Bizkaia. This small summer tour will be an unbeatable opportunity for the athleticzales to enjoy the first minutes of the lions on the grass and see the new tactical ideas of the coach up close. The starting gun will take place on Wednesday, July 15, in Portugalete. The La Florida field will be the scene of the first test of the pre-season, where Athletic will face CD Derio from 19:30 hours. Just three days later, on Saturday, July 18, the zurigorri squad will move to the Sarriena facilities (in the Jose Ignacio Azkueta field) to face SD Leioa. This match will have a very special tone, as it will serve to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Leioa locality. The meeting will also take place at 19:30 hours. To close this first territorial tour, Terzić's team will visit one of the fields with the most solera in Vizcayan football: Las Llanas. There, Sestao River will be waiting for them on Wednesday, July 22, closing this trilogy of friendly derbies at 19:30 hours.
